Despite falling oil prices, an increased number of small oil firms continue to explore the North Sea. It is now advised that oil and gas contractors in the UK should be looking towards the independent and junior oil firms for work.
After BP’s recent staff cuts of 4,000 from it’s global workforce, which is expected to take place in the next two years, the oil industry has opened a gap in the market. Allowing for independent and junior firms to explore.
More and more of these independent and junior firms are recognising the potential of the North Sea and taking advantage. Oil and gas contractors may be better off exploring opportunities with these independent firms.
