IPSE have marked this day, the 12th of November as the day to celebrate National Freelancer’s Day. Todays marks the efforts of all the self employed, freelancer’s and contractors across the UK, who made the brave choice to work for themselves.
With the growth of the UK’s freelance sector growing through enterprising individuals, the self employed sector is more important to the UK economy now more than ever. It has become a staple way of working, and improved overall output.
National Freelancers Day was set up by IPSE in 2008, and has been celebrated annually since. The purpose of the day is to celebrate self employed professionals; and for the past two years, IPSE has hosted the freelancer awards where tonight a few standout individuals will receive an award.
The Freelancer awards, popularly known as the Aspire and Inspire awards, highlights the passion and excellence the self employed, freelance and contract market can offer. The award selects 15 of the best self employed individuals in the UK.
With over 20 years’ experience, specialist contractor accountants Nixon Williams have guided and helped the contractor market grow more year on year. To join in the celebrations, take a look at @IPSE, #selfieemployed and #nationalfreelancerday on Twitter.
