It’s that time of year again! Give our Annual Contractor Attitude Survey a wave because it’s back again for another year.
As your accounting partner, our top priority is you. We want to know how you found the last year as a limited company director, what your thoughts are for the future and how you feel about some big upcoming changes that could rock the boat (we’re looking at you, IR35). The Contractor Attitude Survey is the ideal time to reflect on these changes and to share your thoughts on what’s coming up.
What is the Contractor Attitude Survey?
The Contractor Attitude Survey is an annual opportunity for us to curate the opinions of contractors and freelancers on a number of key topics. It’s an opportunity for you to share your experiences of working over the last year, including the state of the marketplace and how satisfied you are with your contracting career in general.
By identifying trends within the industry, we’re confident that this can help give you a competitive edge with your career and better help you to look ahead and be prepared for the future.
What did the last survey reveal?
Last year, fellow contractors shared their thoughts and experiences and there was plenty of insightful data, including:
- The majority of contractors were happy and satisfied with their decision to go self-employed (88%);
- The most common reasons for contracting were flexibility and a higher rate of pay (68%), closely followed by a better work-life balance; and
- Over 40% of contractors can see themselves staying in self-employment for the next 10+ years
