Currently, there are 4.6m self-employed people working in the UK and of this number, 1.9m are made up of independent professionals.
It is said that the ongoing skills shortages will drive up demand in the coming months, particularly in the IT and Finance sectors, resulting in these areas continuing to be seen as buoyant.
Although these sectors are not the only one’s to facing a more positive outlook in 2016. More opportunities have arisen with Government investment into infrastructure projects, of which 60% are geared toward the construction sector.
The Transport sector accounts for £127 billion, around 31% of the planned Government pipeline value, whilst Energy with a value of £245 billion, has a high 60% of the total value.
With these Government investments, the construction, finance and IT sectors look prosperous continuing on into the new year.
